She barks at walls? Lol! Any wall in particular? Or just walls in general? Boy.. I'm not sure what to do with that either!!! Lol! I feel for ya, T... Woof Woof!
This is a new thing, for the past week or so. When she is in her crate suddenly she will start staring at a spot on the wall with giant fearful eyes and start screaming bloody murder. I have no idea why. Only in her crate. It's really weird, but then, Jun is really weird. So really, it's just par for the course. More aggravating is her barking in the car, which she also never used to do.
Oh boy, can't wait for the ride to Colorado in the same vehicle as Jun!! Woo! I'll bring the ear plugs. I know where I can get multipacks. Lol! Maybe she is seeing something paranormal on the wall. We had a foster dog at the beginning of the year who would get really aggrivated and bark and growl at the upper wall where it met the ceiling. And his eyes would move like he was watching something moving. His heckles would stand up, and he'd start growling and barking and get all upset. Or, maybe he was just crazy. Lol!
I'll bring her bark collar along, don't worry! Though, I'm starting to think she's just messing with me, cause this morning I got out the squirt bottle, showed it to her, and set it on the table next to her crate. She layed right down and not another peep out of her!
My first dog, my blind dog. We love each other even though we don't always understand each other. Lok teaches me to accept and appreciate others for who they are. He gives me everything he has to give all the time. He makes me a better person.
Jun
Beauty AND brains all in one. Hearing is not required to take over the world and Jun prefers to be addressed as Goddess of the Universe. She is a workaholic, but also lazy, and prefers to do things the eas---I mean the "efficient" way. If dogs needed lawyers, Jun would be one. She will find the loophole in any rule. She keeps me on my toes. One is either training Jun or being trained by Jun (or both) ALL the time.
Elo
My tri-pawed cattle dog, who finally convinced me to let him stay. Definitely NOT a border collie. He is fiercely loyal and protective, affectionate and cuddly. He makes me happy and keeps me laughing all the time.
My Training Principles
Dog training is about building good habits and preventing bad habits.
Increase the rate of reward.
Make the dog successful.
Reward successive approximations.
The dog is never at fault for getting it wrong.
Don't train when you're not in the mood.
There are many different ways to train any behavior.
